The lampshade is the most common example of an interior object, and every applied arts student in every art school or university tried to experiment with its form and design.

We are often asked if we can make such fixtures, based on a reference picture. We understand that the author of the request was inspired by some photos and cannot find similar lighting equipment on the market. And what is our response to this?

Of course, we say yes. BUT... And now we'll explain why we don't always strive to make you the light fixture you want.

Any product, no matter whether it is a lamp, a ceiling or a chair, has certain requirements for its characteristics. For example, the chair must be strong and withstand the weight of a person up to 150 kg and not break under them, the coloring of wood or metal must be resistant and not get, for example, rust stains, and the joints should not split apart in use.

The set of technical requirements for luminaires is approximate as follows: light flux, light intensity, light output, illumination, color temperature, color rendering index, brightness, luminance, pulsation ratio, and glare indices. You get it, right?

If you have already read the previous paragraph to the end, it is obvious that our company does not produce lighting fixtures. We are a company that creates unique ceiling art objects and partitions from architectural paper (non-woven material made in France), which have been marvelously decorating public interiors for the second decade in our country.

Based on the above, we take on projects that you can't buy in your nearest store or Chinese AliExpress. We are interested in designing and creating interior items that are non-typical in their appearance.

If we do create fairly simple standard shapes: cubes and cylinders, we use some unique colors or dimensions or use the surface to apply a unique pattern or print.  Then it is reasonable to turn to us because the calculation of labor costs for design, production and installation is justified. Especially when we are not talking about single products, but about a batch of products.

But, believe me, no offense, it is totally irrational to calculate the cost of one lamp that is very similar to the one that was sold earlier in the store of a well-known Swedish brand with a yellow logo on a blue background (let's not advertise it). Because the price will be ten times higher than its counterpart, we will spend a lot of our time just responding to the request.

But, sometimes, we dabble in a little bit of magic at our place in the evenings. And by accident, we come up with interesting things. From which we can make beautiful projects. Using similar construction and form. For example, we were making a ceiling project - a cabbage slice, and got an interesting lampshade design. Why not use it in the projects? It definitely can be not too expensive, but most importantly, original. At the same time, we will not call our products lighting equipment, certify them, etc. It is an art object. And therefore, the requirements for it are only one: to be beautiful. We hope that this art object will also meet the customer's price expectations, which he is ready to spend on certain beautiful interior solutions.  And now we will just share some interesting ideas with you.
